Stay up-to-date with the latest in biotechnology research through the Journal of Biomolecular Techniques (JBT), published in partnership with the Knowledge Futures Group and the PubPub platform.
We are thrilled to share the latest developments at the Journal of Biomolecular Techniques (JBT), your esteemed peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing biotechnology research. Since its inception, JBT has been committed to promoting the pivotal role that biotechnology plays in contemporary scientific endeavors, fostering knowledge exchange among biomolecular resource facilities, and communicating the groundbreaking research conducted by the Association's Research Groups, members, and other investigators.
In 2022, JBT embarked on an exciting partnership with the Knowledge Futures Group, bringing about a significant transformation in how we disseminate knowledge. Through this collaboration, we migrated our publishing to PubPub, a cutting-edge open-source and community-led publishing platform for knowledge communities. This transition has allowed us to leverage the power of collaborative engagement and innovation in sharing the latest advancements in biomolecular techniques.
Recognizing the importance of accessibility, JBT took a step further in 2023 by introducing articles with audio accompaniment. By offering content in multiple formats, we aim to enhance accessibility for our diverse audience, enabling a wider reach and ensuring that the valuable insights shared within our journal can be easily consumed by researchers worldwide.
We are also pleased to announce that our upcoming July 2023 issue will feature the debut of our first video abstract. Titled "Multiple Reaction Monitoring (MRM) Profiling" by Reis et al., this video abstract showcases the highlights of a remarkable research article. Video abstracts serve as a tool to increase readers' engagement, attract viewers to scientific papers, and provide a dynamic visual representation of the research findings. Rest assured that these video abstracts will be published under the same copyright terms as the associated articles, ensuring the protection of intellectual property.

Moreover, we are pleased to assure contributors and readers that JBT articles continue to be deposited in PubMed Central, a prominent repository that further expands the visibility and impact of our published research. This indexing ensures that our valuable content reaches a wider audience and contributes to the broader scientific community.
With the transition to PubPub, we have also been able to gather insightful data regarding the impact of our published articles.1 Since 2022, we have recorded an impressive 17,000 page views and welcomed over 5,000 unique visitors from various regions across the globe, including North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. This global reach underscores the significance of our journal in disseminating knowledge and fostering collaboration among researchers worldwide.
